Winter Solstice Blessings
Wishing you and your loved ones joy, good health and peace!

I am enamored with our winter vegetable garden. After decades in cold climes, I never tire of the beautiful Florida winters with all their bounty.
Baby Broccoli (pictured above) and I wish you a very peaceful and contented holiday season. I am humbled by your support and trust and very grateful for each one of you. May you see the light grow in your heart each day, and understand more fully who you really are.
With love! Namaste,
Diana

Weekly yoga classes are at Inner Balance Mind Body Studio in North Miami, but you can join from anywhere because they are also on zoom.
These classes are accessible to all. Whether you are new to yoga or want a refresh on the basics, all classes are designed to build strength, improve balance, increase flexibility and reduce stress.
I have been teaching Yoga since 2005, but my recent teachings come from Iyengar Yoga and I hope to receive my certification in 2023!
Iyengar yoga is named after and developed by B.K.S. Iyengar who was a direct disciple of T. Krishnamacharya. Together with Pattabhi Jois (who developed Ashtanga yoga) he was partly responsible for bringing the practice of modern yoga, as we know it now, to the West.
“Iyengar yoga descends from the most classical Hatha yoga tradition. It has evolved into a precise and clear method that’s easily understood by the modern practitioner. Lots of attention is paid to the technical alignment of the poses to keep the mind drawn inwards, but also focused and connected to reality.” ~ Adela Serrano, Iyengar teacher.
Hope to see you on your mat soon!
Lots of love,
Diana
Philosophy Corner
Asanas or postures are the third limb of yoga. The first limb has five parts and are called the Yamas.
The Yamas represent a series of "right living" or ethical rules. It means "reining in" or "control". These are restraints for proper conduct:
- Ahimsa (non-harming or non-violence in thought, word and deed)
- Satya (truthfulness)
- Asteya (non-stealing)
- Brahmacharya (celibacy or 'right use of energy')
- Aparigraha (non-greed or non-hoarding)
